Why Create a Blog like this

I have walked a long and hard road in my life. I have been very fortunate to have had the guidance and support of many people. I wouldn't be where I am without their help.

If anyone would have told me 25 years ago that I would be in my life where I am now, I wouldn't have believed it. I was stuck in the negativity, sadness and despair of my life. Then 20 years ago I started taking steps to make my life, and my children's lives better. It was very hard work at times, but it has been well worth all of the effort.

Sometimes the topics on this blog are hard to read. For that I am sorry. I am learning that pedophilia plays a large role in child sexual abuse. I made the decision to do stories on this topic to get the word out. Most of my childhood sexual abuse was at the hands of pedophiles and if we don't share these stories then they will continue to get away with what they do. Silence is something that was guaranteed by survivors in the past. It isn't anymore.

I want to share my story with the reader. I would like the reader to share their story as well. I want us to be able to help each other. We have all needed and sought out guidance and we have all been asked to and have given guidance.


One of the most important words of guidance came to me from a women named Susan. She said, "I'm helping you because I was in your position once and the woman that helped me said","All I expect of you is to help someone else out when they need it." She said, "This is all I am asking of you." I have lived that throughout my life.
