Dang Wikipedia & Newgon Wiki

One of the people who commented on one of my blog posts mentioned Mike Echols so did some research on him. I got some interesting result when I Googled him. When I put his name into Google's search engine who was the very first site that discusses Mike Echols? You guessed it Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Echols . Some of my research into Wikipedia supports the discussion on many sites that there are a number of pedophiles who are on their editing board. I have written in other blog posts about my research into Wikipedia. Especially that one of the reasons for Wikipedia's existence is to make pedophilia normalized. I have read recently on many sites that pedophiles believe that at some point pedophilia will be an accepted lifestyle. They discuss this on boy chat and Newgon Wiki's existence is to promote this. They talk of the history of homosexuality and how "mainstream" homosexuality is now.  I personally think they are delusional if they believe that the majority of the people in this world will accept pedophilia as mainstream. It is the sexual abuse of children period! We have come so far and need to go further in protecting children from predators of all kinds. We don't need to go backward. Recovered-Memory Victory in Minnesota

In continuing my search on recovered memory, the court system and media since 2009. I found two articles that I have attached links and cut and pasted on this blog post. The original story for this was June 29, 2011. It involves a case by Jim Keenan who has been pursuing a case against the Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis for covering up his child sexual abuse at the hands of Father Adamson in Minnesota. He remembered his child sexual abuse after 20 years. The Archdiocese wanted the case thrown out. They had always been able to get cases thrown out due to the statue of limitations being up. A spokesman for the Archdiocese  Dennis McGrath has said they will appeal this decision. I haven't been able to find any information at this time as to whether or not they did appeal this decision.

This is another important victory that there is no such thing as FMSword. This article supports the reality that repressed memory/recovered memory is very real and not imaginary as the FMSwordF would have us believe. I am wondering if these type of cases are the reason that Pamela Freyd has decided to fade into the background. It seems like the FMSwordF doesn't have the level of clout they had in the 1990's, 2000's. It is almost like Pamela Freyd is running away with her tail between her legs. I am wondering what took her so long. If what she believes is so true then why isn't she out there arguing against these cases? IMO it is because the bullying practices that FMSwordF have used in the past aren't working any more.

While I have chosen not to pursue my child sexual/ritual abuse through the court system I am grateful that courts are looking at repressed/recovered memory differently then they were. I am happy and very supportive to the survivors that they are being heard and that lawyers are willing to take their cases. It is possible that this case will open the ability for others who wish to pursue cases that were thrown out due to the statue of limitations being up. Survivors of child sexual abuse and ritual abuse have always deserved the right to be heard and be believed. The Minnesota Court of Appeals ruled on Monday that Jim Keenan can proceed with his recovered-memory lawsuit against the Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis for personal injury and fraud. The court decided that Keenan should be able to present expert testimony that describes “memory repression and the characteristics that are present in an individual suffering from repressed memory.” (Doe 76C v. Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis; Court of Appeals of Minnesota, June 27, 2011). Overturning the trial court’s decision in the case, the appellate court also concluded that “genuine issues of material fact exist about when appellant was put on notice of a potential fraud claim.” Accordingly, Keenan’s claim that the archdiocese failed to disclose that Father Adamson had a history of sexual abuse will be allowed to go forward. One strong indication that the church knows that this claim is meritorious is that their spokesman is quoted as saying that the church “will continue to try and resolve the matter without the necessity of a trial.”

Pamela Freyd, Executive Director the False Memory Syndrome Foundation, said recently that the FMSF may soon quietly disappear. They apparently think that their work is done.  But the unanimous decision of this three-judge panel once again demonstrates that, fortunately, recovered memory deniers have not won the so-called memory wars. Instead, common sense still prevails at the Minnesota Court of Appeals

Recovered Memories of Sexual Abuse Scientific Research & Scholarly Resource

One of the resources I have found on sexual abuse and repressed memory is from Jim Hopper http://www.jimhopper.com/ He keeps his research up to date. Below I have copied and pasted one of the pages on Jim Hopper's site. It is research back to the mid 1990's that shows that there is empirical evidence that supports recovered memories are real and valid. It is all academically based research.

I am interested in how the FMSwordF invalidates these findings. If anyone from FMSwordF would like to send me information on how this evidence is disputed please feel free to. FMSwordF's claims that repressed memory isn't real and doesn't exist yet, there is a lot of empirical evidence that proves otherwise. How they have been allowed to steam roll their agenda in the face of solid evidence that proves that FMSword isn't real and repressed memories are, just astonishes me. Who are these people? Why do they want to discredit survivors of child sexual abuse? Who are they helping? Where do they get their money? What exactly does Pamela Freyd have to gain by causing harm to survivors?

I realize that this information isn't knew to some people but it has been to me. I have talked in previous posts about my lack of knowledge of FMSwordF and their agenda. When I was dealing with my memories of ritual abuse I had a lot on my plate. I was a single parent, attending college, learning how to parent correctly due to years in domestic violence, attending therapy, and just plain getting my act together.

Twenty years ago when FMSwordF was a new non profit organization I had limited knowledge of them. I most certainly didn't have knowledge of their agenda. When I learned of their agenda in the past couple of months I didn't just take others words for it. I did my own research and am doing on going research into FMSwordF. I didn't even know about the "satanic panic." Which FMSwordF played a prominent role in "debunking." As I continue my research I am just blown away by the level of connections FMSwordF must have. How else have they been able to push their agenda in the face of monumental evidence that disproves what they claim? Why is mainstream media so hellbent on believing FMSwordF? And disbelieving survivors? Why is it so hard to believe that there are people who will harm children for their own gain? We see this is true every day via the T.V., computer and print news. Yet, believing that someone has survived ritual abuse is so far fetched that it is automatically disbelieved. This has to stop! People need to take their rose colored glasses off and come to terms with the fact that there are some things that sound so unreal that are very true. One of the things that those who perpetrate child ritual abuse count on is that the story's survivors tell will be so bizarre it will seem unbelievable. It's not and it's not fair that survivors have to fight so hard to be heard. If we don't know our past we are doomed to repeat it. Words of wisdom to live by. Rosie

Repressed Memory and FMSwordF A Reporter who changed his Opinion of FMSwordF

While I was doing my research into how many stories on repressed memory were in the media since 2009-2010 I found the article below. This article takes apart the FMSwordF's agenda. It is written by Steven Elbow of the Capital Times. He was a supporter of Pamela Freyd until he was open to hearing from other survivors of child sexual abuse. He kept an open mind and did more research and you'll find his findings in the article below. I have highlighted in red some things I think are important for the reader to read.

One of the things he does talk about is what I have been talking about for the past couple of months.There is absolutely no scientific evidence to support their assumption that FMSword exists. I was happy to see a person in the media who took the time to listen to survivors and do more research. My research shows that this is a very uncommon occurrence, when it comes to the FMSwordF. I feel this article is very damaging to FMSwordF's agenda. I feel that Pamela Freyd should be rethinking her assumption that the FMSwordF has met their goals and she could fade into the background. It may have taken 20 years but I believe there is a hole in their boat and they are slowly leaking. I am hoping this means their level of support for their agenda is going down. I am hoping that others in the media will be open to doing more research on FMSwordF and will help bring to light that FMSword doesn't exist and is nothing but a propaganda machine to discredit survivors of sexual and ritual abuse and their therapists. In December I wrote a story about a case in Dane County Circuit Court in which the parents of a woman sued their daughter's therapists for psychotherapy treatment they said prompted false memories of sexual abuse by the father.

The case was being closely watched by the False Memory Syndrome Foundation, a group founded in 1992 to advocate for parents who were wrongly accused.

The case was not only being watched by the group, it was being publicized. A Wisconsin member of the foundation gave me a call to tip me off to the case, then put me in contact with executive director Pamela Freyd, who offered compelling quotes and easy research for a reporter trying to cobble together a quick and interesting story. It never occurred to me that I was dealing with a highly organized public relations machine until a victim and a sexual assault advocate emailed me with their concerns.

I can't blame them for being a little disappointed.

Stories on repressed memory in the media since 2009, 2010

I have been doing research in the past three days on current stories of repressed memory, the court system and the media. I found two stories on the Priest Paul Shanley. In 2005 he was convicted of raping a 6 year old boy when he was a Priest in Boston. He petitioned to have his conviction overturned on the basis that the boy he raped had recovered his memory when he was 32 years old. His attorney argued what the FMSwordF's agenda that there is no such thing as repressed memory. That there is no way a child can "forget" a traumatic memory. The attorney had a lot of evidence. IMO that came from proponents of the FMSwordF.

Thankfully in 2010 the judge ruled that in 2005 allowing repressed memory into the trial was correct. I have highlighted what the judge said in red below. I think this is a victory for survivors of child sexual abuse, and other severe traumas. It sickens me that there are people who support a pedophile and will go to court and testify for him. Not to mention an attorney who will represent a pedophile. I honestly don't know how they sleep at night. I am sure Paul Shanley's victims sleep a lot better knowing he will never be out of jail alive. I think it is completely disgusting of Paul Shanley to think he should get away with his life as a pedophile with the support of FMSwordF proponents. How arrogant to think he would get a new trial on this evidence.

I appreciate the judge's willingness to do his research and follow the law. I don't think the judge had an agenda which is something that I suspect proponents of FMSwordF's agenda have claimed. You can read comments by the attorney of Paul Shanley in the articles below.  In all of my research which will be posted to the blog in the next couple of days I have found several stories that support that repressed memory is real and that the FMSwordF has an agenda that they continue to push. They continue to push their agenda even though they know there is evidence to the contrary. It is one thing to do your research and talk about the truth there is another thing to "ignore" evidence because it doesn't fit your agenda.

I have found several academic articles that support the fact that for some children who survive/experience severe trauma dissociate because they can not take in the level of trauma they are experiencing.  I honestly don't understand why this is so hard to believe. I would like to think that if I hadn't survived the level of trauma I did as a child, that I would still be open to believing that children dissociate. I just happen to have unfortunately survived some of the most horrendous child abuse and have first hand experience as to how a child responds to this level of trauma.

One of the things that Pamala Freyd has written in her last issues of the FMSwordF newsletter is that FMSwordsF's work has done what it set out to do and she thinks it is time for her to fade into the back ground. I say bulls##%. FMSwordF has done a lot of damage to survivors of childhood sexual, ritual, emotional and physical abuse. I think they should be held accountable for promoting their agenda at the expense of survivors. I do not understand why there hasn't been a class action suit filed by survivors against FMSwordF for liable. I for one would love to be a part of a class action suit. It sickens me that they have been allowed for the past 20 years to ruin people's lives. They have affected survivors and professionals who work with survivors. I will be talking about in later blog posts the number of pedophiles they have supported throughout the years. I have yet to find any evidence that they have done anything to help stop child abuse. They claim to say it is a very real problem and they are against it but there is no evidence to support that they have done anything in 20 years and I repeat 20 years to stop child abuse. Merry Christmas

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday. I am with friends and family and have had a wonderful day. One of our traditions is that we get together at a specific house and I get to make the Christmas meal. I made a venison and a beef roast, creamed onions, lemon asparagus, roasted potatoes, lobster Alfredo served with a genuine German rosemary loaf. It was delicious. It is wonderful visiting with people I only get to see once or twice a year. Family is very important to me and I am grateful that I have this time with them.

Let's pray for those who aren't as fortunate. Let's pray for those who are still living the traumas and aren't on the other side of them yet. I am very blessed, Rosie

At first when I was reading this wiki I couldn't tell if it was a joke or not. I starting reading of the people below under the wiki category "Ranting AntiPeds" I have to say I started to laugh. I am still traveling and where I am staying has no where to plug in my computer. I was running my computer on the battery. This wiki so captivated my attention that in order to insure I wouldn't run out of my battery. I went to another area of the house in the middle of the night to plug in my computer. Utah Professor Accused of Viewing Child Porn on Plane Pleads Not Guilty

This is the rest of the information I found on the Utah Professor Grant Smith. What I really like about this article is that the spokesman for the State Police made the statement that those who posses pictures of child sexual abuse (my words);

I couldn't agree more. I don't understand why some people can't see that there is a group of people who are connected that make and distribute this disgusting abusive media. This doesn't mean that there aren't small pockets of pedophiles who make and distribute their own abusive media. IMO there is no way that this abusive media could be distributed with out some type of formal organization. Especially since there is money to be made at the expense of these poor children. I for one find it comforting that Grant Smith is being held accountable for his abusive actions. I hope this makes other pedophiles concerned that they too will be exposed. I just found this video. It is a story of a professor from Utah who was watching child sexual abuse (calling it child pornography implies the child played a willing role) on his computer on a plane. A passenger saw the images and took a picture of the images. The Massachusetts police were notified and he was arrested. One of the outcomes of this is people are talking about what they would do in the same situation. I am glad there is a discussion on this. The professor was blatantly watching it on a plane. Long Couple of Days...

It felt weird for me not to blog for a whole 24 hours. It wasn't because I didn't want to. I have been traveling and experienced computer trouble. Today I went to Candles Holocaust Museum and Education Center in Terre Haute, Indiana.http://www.candlesholocaustmuseum.org/ Eva Kor started the museum in a small store front. Eva is a survivor of Auschwitz and Dr. Mengele. She is an amazing person. When I was working on writing my memoir I 
started doing research on survivors of the holocaust. I was interested in hearing their stories. I wanted to learn how survivors lives had turned out. I know I suffered my own hell with surviving ritual abuse and was able to come out the other side. I wanted to know how survivors of the holocaust came out the other side as well. I watched at least 100 videos pertaining to the holocaust. One of the videos I watched was Forgiving Dr. Mengele. It was the story of Eva going back to Auschwitz and publicly forgiving Dr. Mengele. I watched her story and cried. She had gone through so much. Lost most of her family. The only surviving relative her sister Miriam lived in Israel.

Another story of child sexual abuse I found on boy chat. It is lovely how they try to stay on top of current stories of one of their own committing a terrible act. As usual I have attached links of their conversation at the end of this blog post. The four people came forward after all of the other high profile child sexual abuse stories. I'm sorry they had to wait 40 years to find their voices. This is another story where there were people who knew yet they did nothing. I hope society will change and if someone knows that someone is hurting a child that they will protect the child. Unfortunately as we have seen lately, it is about money. The fear of lost revenue and the fear of litigation. Money should never be more important than the safety of a child. We forget that children our are future and if we allow predators to hurt them society runs the risk of the child becoming a predator. We also run the risk of the child ending up an addict, prostitute or dead at a young age. Please people lets end child abuse. Frowning, Rosie

I found the story below on Fox News in Memphis, Tenn. I am glad he got caught and I hope the teen doesn't develop HIV from this predator. Why do people think they can harm children? I just don't get it. That isn't to say that I think adults should be harmed because that's not true. It is just that children are so vulnerable. This 16 year old was a runaway. My understanding of runaways is that they are easy prey for predators. I did go to boy chat to see if this story was being talked about and surprisingly it wasn't. I suspected that if it was being talked about the lovely pedophiles would be saying that the 16 year old consented to the sexual encounter. Taking advantage of a child's isn't consensual. West Tennessee - A West Tennessee Drug Task Force trooper busted a man they believe to be a sexual predator.

According to the FMSword Page the therapy I received was good and validates my surviving RA.

One of the things that got my attention when I was visiting the FMSwordF site was the information below:

STATEMENTS THAT MAY REFLECT SUBSTANDARD PRACTICES:

            1. "You have the symptoms of someone who was abused."
            2. "Studies show that (or, my experience is that) most people with [fill in the particular
                diagnosis or symptoms here] were sexually abused."
            3. "If you think you were abused, then you probably were."
            4. "Remembering is essential if you want to be healed."
            5. "This technique (hypnosis, guided imagery, sodium amytal, etc.) is designed to
                 help you remember."
            6. "Suing (forgiving, detaching from, etc.) your family is a necessary part of healing."
            7. "You have to get worse before you get better."
            8. "Your body holds accurate memories of past events."

One of the things I have been SHOUTING from the roof tops is that I have survived ritual abuse and my therapist(s) did not do anything unethical to promote an agenda. They did not implant in my mind that I survived ritual abuse. They did not do any one of these 8 things. I have said before that I have had memories of the ritual abuse all of my life. What I didn't have memories of is the extent of the trauma that I experienced at the hands of those in this "cult." Or the extent of their programming to prevent me from remembering what I had survived. My strongest memories are of being between the ages of 3 and 5 and being put either in a box or in a basement stair well. The intent of the box was for me to denounce God. The stairwell was to make me worship satan. At the top of the stairs was a statue of satan and I would be in that stairwell for hours and hours at a time. I wouldn't even be able to look at that statue I was terrified, cold, but not alone because during all of the abuse I survived as a child God was always there. He couldn't stop the abuse because the one thing that God doesn't have control over is a persons free will. Those involved in this cult believed that if they took away my free will as a child it would give them power.

It is amazing to me how much news on pedophiles/predators getting caught I find on Boy Chat. Here is the link where I found the story below  http://boychat.org/messages/1281441.htm.. Some of the responses from the pedophiles on Boy Chat are disgusting. I have attached some of the links at the end of this blog post. One of the responses has to do with a 15 year old being old enough to have a consensual sexual relationship. They just don't get that an adult should not be pursuing a sexual relationship with a child period. They think any child can make the "decision" to have a consensual sexual relationship with a boy lover. WRONG! WRONG! These pedophiles act like they are being persecuted.
The boys mother is furious and I don't blame her. She found them in bed together. He is lucky she didn't kill him. I would have honestly beat the disgusting predator up. I hope they find the site they met on-line on and make parents aware of it. I hate I have to blog about stories like this I wish they didn't exist but unfortunately they do. If this story isn't proof that more needs to be done to protect children on line I don't know what does. I pray that this 15 year old child gets the interventions he needs so he doesn't end up a child sexual abuse statistic. Crying, Rosie

Here Goes FMSwordF's proof that FMSword Exists.

I have been looking at the FMSwordF page for a little while now. One of the things that I noticed is that most of there data on their web site is very outdated. They quote the APA often and use their words out of context. I copied and pasted the quotes they use on their page from the APA into Google and none came up anymore. I think if they were still relevant that they would still be available. Here is the APA's page on the topic of child sexual abuse and memory. http://www.apa.org/topics/trauma/memories.aspx#.  These pages from the APA website do not support that FMSword exists. The APA doesn't have enough validated empirical evidence on trauma and memory. They suggest that before any definitive answers about childhood sexual abuse and trauma pertaining to memory that, more research needs to be completed. Below is the list of the research that the APA feels needs to happen in order to have definitive, empirical evidence on memory and childhood sexual abuse. I did not find anything pertaining to memory and the FMSword, period.

• Research to provide a better understanding of the mechanism by which accurate or inaccurate recollections of events may be created;
• Research to ascertain which clinical techniques are most likely to lead to the creation of pseudomemories and which techniques are most effective in creating the conditions under which actual events of childhood abuse can be remembered with accuracy;
• Research to ascertain how trauma and traumatic response impact the memory process;
• Research to ascertain if some people are more susceptible than others to memory suggestion and alteration and if so, why.

 The following are two definitions that FMSwordF claim proves that FMSword is real.

           FALSE MEMORY SYNDROME: a psychological condition in which a person
          remembers events that have not actually occurred. (Random House
          Compact Unabridged Dictionary, Special Second Edition, 1996, Addenda)

I went and checked out this book on Amazon.com. On page 401 of the book there is a statement that the information on FMSword came from the FMSwordF. That isn't scientific evidence. They are spewing their own venom. Scientific data needs to be pure scientific data.

A couple of days ago when I visited Jeanette Bartha's site I came across:

Kim is proven scientifically to have DID. Their data is wrong they say Kim has 80 alters and that is not what my research has shown. Ten-year-old abuse victim tells secret to authorities to save sisters

I find the article below just reading the internet this morning. This ten year old girl had a tremendous amount of courage to refuse to go home. She did a wonderful thing for herself and her sisters. The school should be commended on stepping in and supporting these girls. What really disturbs me about this story is that the ten year old told her mother for two years that the boyfriend was sexually abusing her, yet the mother did nothing. This is something I just don't understand. If my daughter had told me that someone was sexually abusing her I would probably be in jail. I will never understand a mother or father for that matter that doesn't protect their children.

How could this mother leave this monster in that house? I am guessing she didn't work, wasn't able to earn enough money to support herself and her girls and felt that she needed this man. Welfare is better then subjecting your children to abuse. Any parent that chooses a significant other over their children isn't a parent in my opinion and should loose custody of their children. A mother is supposed to protect her children. I know first hand how this child must have felt when she told her mother she was being abused and the mother did nothing. I experienced the same thing when I was a child. I would tell Ruth stories of the RA abuse I was suffering and her response was it was just a bad dream. When I would tell her that someone touched me the wrong way I heard again it was just a bad dream. This was very confusing and created a lot of anxiety for me. I went most of my life until I was 27 years old trying hard to get Ruth to love me. This never happened. She was so destructive in my life, that I  made the choice my children were more important then her. I made the decision to never talk to her again. For a ten year old to have the courage that I didn't gain until I was 27 is astounding and deserves to be applauded. This child will go very far in her life and I hope that the family she is living with now has the skills to raise these three children who have suffered so much.

Statistically speaking from all of the research I have been doing this pedophile choose the right type of family to abuse. I bet he knew how much this woman struggled financially and knew that he could worm his way into her life. Pedophiles tend to choose families where their is a single parent household who are not very educated. This is not to say at all that pedophiles don't pick on stable, more financially secure children. They do as we know by the Poly Prep story. They statistically prey on the vulnerable and socioeconomic status doesn't matter. Can you imagine how secure this pedophile felt that this mother knew he was doing what he was and she did nothing. Freedom and protection: The big question on the internet

This is an article that is from the Head of Research Office of UNICEF that I found from Iceland. It discusses how difficult it is to protect children from online predators. The internet opened up a whole way for these scum to have access to our children. It is imperative that we educate our children on how to protect themselves on line. This is the reverse problem which has not yet been able to answer satisfactorily, but now with a planned approach to preparatory work to separate the facts from the emotions - and even agitation - that have characterized the debate.

Agitation, however, to some extent justified. It is now believed that the world exists for 16,700 internet sites that display images of sexual violence against children. On the Internet there are millions of such images that show thousands of children. Age of the children for the violence will decrease and it also seems now three-quarters of children less than 10 years of age. Furthermore films ever more brutal and violent fuller.

Brasil: Diga não ao tráfico de pessoas/ Stop Human Trafficking

I was asked to discuss this on the blog and am gladly doing so.  Apparently there isn't enough financial resources to help combat human trafficking in Brazil's budget. With the 2016 Olympics coming up the need to supply "humans" to the sex trade, and workers (slavery) is going to go up tremendously. I am glad to shed some light on this topic. Joint action in 22 European countries against online child sexual abuse material in the internet

Yesterday when I was doing research on boy chat I found the following link:  http://boychat.org/messages/1281182.htm. This link led led me to the story below. It is interesting how much news I can obtain on pedophile investigations on boy chat. I have added a couple more investigations I found from there on my page Pedophilia Rings Infiltration, Investigations & Arrests. I applaud all of the hard work out there that is going on in order to protect children. At the bottom of this story there is an important message I have posted it below:

                Use of the phrase ‘child pornography’actually benefits child sex abusers;
                a)    It indicates legitimacy and compliance on the part of the victim and

                positions, rather than suffering horrific abuse.

I agree with this logic. I hope other investigators, investigations, into child sexual abuse pedophile rings use child abuse image as there description for this act, as it accurately describes what really happens. It is the pedophiles that think it is child pornography. Using CP does make it seem that it is a consensual act. If you go to pedophile chat rooms there is a lot of discussion about children being consensual partners in their own abuse. I find that really disgusting and unacceptable. I hope that many others get arrested and are held accountable for the abuse that they do to children. It is scary when you think of how many investigations and people who have already gotten arrested this year alone.  IMO this is proof that there is a very large network of pedophiles who have access to technology, that allow them to abuse children. Those who defend the use of their technology to help pedophiles should also be arrested and held accountable. I am hoping that there is a lot of cooperation of owners of the technology that pedophiles are using who are actively cooperating with on-going investigations. Operation Icarus Press Conference

Law enforcement agencies from 26 European countries, supported and coordinated by Europol, have carried out a major crackdown against online child sex abuse file-sharing networks.

When I heard back from Andrew Lewman from TOR Project he was kind enough to link me to http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/collaboration/focus/education/human-trafficking-rfp.aspx. It is a request for proposals for technology that is used to combat human trafficking. I thought it was important to post this opportunity. Human trafficking of minors—including the illegal trade of children and teens for commercial sexual exploitation—is a crime so vile that it makes most people shudder. But unfortunately, not everyone recoils: pedophiles and procurers have made the commercial sexual exploitation of children an international business, and there is little doubt that technology is increasingly playing a role in their criminal practices. Which is why today I am pleased to announce that Microsoft Research Connections is partnering with danah boyd, one of the top social media researchers from the Microsoft New England Research and Development Lab, and the Microsoft Digital Crimes Unit to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to investigate the implications of technology in this heinous crime.

More Proof Pedophiles Use TOR

I did more research on boy chat. I came across the threads on the second page of this post. It is very obvious to me that pedophiles are using TOR as a way to remain anonymous on the internet. I read an article that claimed that TOR is part of DarkNet. I'm curious where you linked Tor to that news article from BNO News.
Nothing in it suggests Tor, nor even that the ring was all that
sophisticated.

Anyway, criminals already have better options than Tor, normal humans
and survivors do not have any equivalent options. Not everyone wants
to be as public as you are with your blog. In fact, many are
desperately seeking a way to go online anonymously to find and offer
help. However, they are petrified of their past catching up to their
current professional lives and restrain themselves from seeking and

many, many people self-censor to avoid any inadvertent public

I wrote him back and copied and pasted lonely watcher's posting on boy chat that clearly mentions his using TOR. And IMO implying that the Russian pedophile ring used TOR as well. I haven't heard back from him. I am sure there are many other software options for pedophiles to use so they can remain anonymous on the internet. I agree with him that people do have the right to be anonymous in this technological age. I just believe that ends when we know that people are using technology to harm children. We have to draw the line somewhere. I am hoping that TOR takes up protecting children just as they have taken up protecting domestic violence survivors. Another sad story of people in positions of power taking advantage of children. I am glad for this study but I find it so sad that these types of stories are all to common. My understanding is that the Netherlands have a large pedophilia network. I am sure they aren't happy with this information getting out. I have noticed since I have been writing about pedophiles that my site has increased traffic from the Netherlands. I am not sure that my writing has anything to do with it, but it is interesting to note. I am grateful that people are becoming more aware of those who choose to prey on children. Take care, Rosie

I found a video that was a PSA put out in 1964. It is based on actual events from Mansfield, Ohio. It is educational for the parent and child. It has specific suggestions that parents can do to help their children not become victims of molesters. Except for the clothing and video quality it could be used as an education tool today. Effects of sexual abuse last for decades, study finds.

When doing research the other day I came across the following study on msnbc. It is a true testament to the damage that sexual abuse causes the survivor. The cost to the person long term is very high. Mental health issues are among the highest outcomes. I feel like screaming wake up! wake up! Young girls who are the victims of sexual abuse experience physical, biological and behavioral problems that can persist for decades after, a new study shows.

Researchers, who tracked a group of girls ranging in age from 6 to 16 at the start of the study in 1987 for the next 23 years, found that they had higher rates of depression and obesity, as well as problems with regulation of brain chemicals, among other issues, compared to a control group of girls who were not abused.
